Silver Lakes - Mount Townsend

Olympic National Park

Silver Lake (5,375') is located 5.2 miles from the Mount Townsend Trailhead in the Buckhorn Wilderness on the east side of the Olympic Peninsula. This large alpine lake glows emerald green and forms the headwaters of Silver Creek. The area is often referred to as Silver Lakes, as a second unseen lake rests off trail down the valley. The Silver Lake Trail is accessed from the Mount Townsend Trailhead on the eastern edge of the Olympic Peninsula.
