Boulder Lake is located within the Eagles Nest Wilderness Area and Dillon Ranger District of the White River National Forest. This large lake, prized by anglers and backcountry campers, occupies a wide berth in a spectacular alpine valley along the Boulder Creek drainage. A short, moderate hike follows the Rock Creek, Gore Range and Boulder Creek trails to the lake's spacious perimeter.
