The little known Fredonia Gulch Trail is a great conditioning hike which provides visitors with sweeping views of Summit County's high peaks. Located just 4.5 miles south of downtown Breckenridge, the trail follows a well maintained forest service road to an old mining camp at the base of Red Mountain. The trail is short but steep - and well worth the hike.
