Quartzite

Quartzite is a non-foliated metamorphic rock that is produced by the metamorphism of sandstone. It is composed primarily of quartz. Quart is the basic composition of sandstone and a major component in shales, conglomerates and some igneous and metamorphic rocks.

Petrified wood found in Petrified Forest National Park is mostly comprised quartz.
